Three Mile Cross, Shinfield and Spencers Wood form part of a wider strategic development known as the South of M4 SDL. Over the years, this has brought with it a range of new homes, infrastructure open space - with more being delivered as development progresses.
The University of Reading, alongside partners Barratt David Wilson Homes and Taylor Wimpey, have promoted and delivered a new community, with the facilities and services designed to support the new homes. Working with Wokingham Borough Council and Shinfield Parish Council, we’ve sought to bring forward a wider plan that helps to deliver the new homes Wokingham needs.
Work taking place on the Sustainable Transport Link impacting Hyde End Lane
Overall, the South of M4 will deliver over 3,000 market and affordable homes, public green spaces and play areas, alongside a new local centre, community centre, sports facilities, schools and new bus services.
We’d like to tell you a little more about the proposals and what has been delivered to date.
